xD-Picture Card
Compact and durable, the xD-Picture Card is the ultimate reusable digital media. It was introduced by Olympus and Fuji in 2002. Besides offering compatibility with most manufacturers xD-compatible devices, it's the only xD card that supports the Panorama function found on most Olympus digital cameras. It can be used in very small cameras due to its tiny size of 0.97" x 0.98" x 0.67". And it’s just as easy using non-xD devices as well, thanks to a number of groundbreaking adapters that will be available including a CompactFlash™ Adapter, SmartMedia™ USB Reader/Writer, and PCMCIA/PC Card Adapter. It is available in capacities up to 512 MB. Most of the latest compact digital cameras use the xD Picture Card media.
